Phraseology that annoys…

‘Arriving into’.  Surely one arrives in, even if one is a train.  Grrr!

Oh yeah, and ‘Yield up’.  I can understand yielding something, but yielding it up?  Is the ‘up’ not superflous to the statement?

    It should be “arriving at” – as in “Arriving at Birmingham New Street” or “arriving at Worcester, Forgate Street”
